Dear Mr. Turkman,
I read the comments that you have given about the Pak Army and then the Pakistanis and I believe that you are not aware of the situation in Pakistan.
Firstly, we Pakistanis do not hate Non Muslims at all. They are an integral part of our society. Pakistan is not like any other country where people belonging to different sects or religion do not intermingle with each other. No !! not at all. Infact if you realise then you'll know that we are a moderate society and our society is better than USA or any other society of the world and in Pakistan we have people from different community living in the same neighbourhood looking after each other like true brothers even though they follow different religion but congratulate each other on their religious occassions and mourn any unhappy moment together and support each other when time requires. This is why I say that Pakistan is not like Iraq or Afghanistan... many have attempted to divide us so that they can rule us but have failed so far ALHAMDULILLAH.
Now moving towards Taliban, well no body really knows if they are to be blamed in the first place!!! if your country is attacked and you are displaced from your place and you are held responsible for something that you cannot even imagine of doing since you are already in a very difficult situation at home and neither do you have the source nor the technology to do or even think of such an event like 9/11 BUT YET you get all the blame for it and you are attacked by 48 countries .... well.......... who are you to blame???
even then Pakistan rightly or wrongly took the side of the allies by helping them out in what ever way possible (handing over the Taliban "Diplomat" to agencies) by handing over the Taliban recognised embassadar to the allies which really is against viena convention but no one bothered to bring that convention up at that time since it was the diplomat of a poor country or a country that was to be a part of great game later on.
Now Raymond Davis.... was he a diplomat you said... wow you make me laugh. He did not have diplomatic immunity since the US council in Pakistan herself applied for Davis non diplomatic card which was shown here in Pakistani electronic and print media but was censored in western and US media. I am not going to say anything further about his case since the decision came from the court and I don't want to get arrested for contempt of court lolz. But since the decision came from the court so that gives a hint about him being a diplomat and his diplomatic immunity. ( Remember that diplomats cannot be bought into courts according to viena convention)
If it would have been any other government with a morally sound background and leadship in Pakistan.... well the Davis case would have been decisive.!! But so far the only thing that Pakistan lacks is a good and honest leadership. Neither the ruling elite nor the opposition party are honest with the people of Pakistan or the federation itself. Only PAK army is battling it out on every platform and honestly speaking the Army itself is praying for a honest leadership to rule the country.

Syed Jawad Karim.

PEW urges to use tourism for national development
Pakistan should benefit from Chinese tourism spending
Tourist dollars to boost forex reserves, employment
Islamabad: [April 13]
The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Wednesday said government needs to turn tourism into a key driver for socio-economic development and poverty reduction.
Pakistan needs and draw advantage from Chinese tourism industry, the world's fourth largest that ranks third in total outbound travel spending, it said.
China is poised to become world's number one economic power while western nations and struggling to sustain growth rate.
At present, 25 million Chinese are travelling each year; the number is expected to double by 2020. This means that they would be spending $590 billion per annum, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW).
Government should plan to attract Chinese tourists for the sake of development as they feel very comfortable in Pakistan, he demanded.
Our exemplary relations have done little to attract Chinese tourists, he said adding that Pakistan's share in Chinese leisure spending remains very low, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal.
Anyone interested in tapping China's booming tourism sector should first understand their needs and expectations.
Majority of Chinese travellers are reported to be dissatisfied with arrangements in the tourist destinations which is an opportunity for Pakistan's hospitality sector.
He said that Chinese tourists are current spending around 295 billion dollars which is just the tip of their tourism iceberg.
Attracting tourist dollars can make an important contribution to our foreign exchange earnings, create employment and benefit backward areas.
We should realise that he business volume of tourism has surpassed that of oil exports. It has become one of the major players in international commerce therefore it cannot be neglected any more, said Dr. Mughal.
