Police Refuses to Lodge FIR of Senior Journalist
Islamabad: Police has refused to ledge FIR of a crime in which a senior journalist was looted in broad day light in the Federal Capital.
It may be mentioned that senior staffer of Pakistan Observer Syed Suleman was looted in broad day light in the Blue Area yesterday by six criminals.
He was deprived of 40000 rupees, mobile, Newspaper ID card. The criminals made good their escape after robbery.
It may be mentioned that when the victim approached Abpara police, he was not taken seriously. Later an investigation officer accompanied him to the crime scene and rebuked him.
Police has not lodged FIA despite lapse of 24 hours which is violation of police rules and amounts to aiding criminals. The alliance between police and criminals is an open secret. The top officials of Islamabad police are also known for safeguarding the illegal acts committed by their subordinates. The leaders of the journalist fraternity have not moved since the incident.
Syed Suleman has asked the Chief Justice Pakistan to take note of the situation.
